Well I finally got around to getting the film online. I found a great video hosting website, called Vimeo.

Thesis Film finally online!
Uploading Soon
I needed a short break from school and everything. I am slowly getting things back in order, which means I will soon be uploading my thesis.
I just need to compress it so it is small enough to upload online. The version that was screened was around 40GB, I also have a compressed version(H.264) which is just under 2GB. Probably within the next 7-10 days I will have it uploaded, or at least make it available for download.
Screening Tonight
Tonight on campus the Animation Department will be screening all the senior thesis films. It will be the first time I will get to see my film on the big screen, very exciting.
After graduation and everything involved with that I will try to upload the film to youtube or something. If I can get the file size small enough I might be able to host it on my website. There is a lot of detail in the film and it will probably get lost with all the downsizing and compression.
In the mean time, my online portfolio/website is up and running. Not completely finished yet, I have to make a few visual changes to the site. Here is the link to that, Anthony Andrade:Multimedia Artist

Finished compositing all the shots yesterday. Just a little post touch up and it will be completed!
I’ll try and post a few completed renders this week.
Almost done…
Lots of work to do this weekend, planning to have the first complete render of the film done by tuesday of next week. If everything looks good(hopefully), the thesis will be completed, and I will be very happy.

Ok, I lied…
When I meant “this week” I really meant “next week”, however I think that would still leave me behind by a week….anyway, here she is. I’ve been working on this part for a while now, almost done, just need to add a few more things like fog, roots, rocks, etc, stuff to make it look pretty.

I know I haven’t updated the site in a while, I’ve been pretty busy around here. But this coming week I am going to get A LOT done. So the updates will begin again very soon, and they are going to be very exciting too ;) ciao

Ok, so this post does not have to do with the current 3D project, but it does happen to do with a little something I am also very passionate about; Photography. Every now and then I will probably upload a favorite photo I take.

So the title was chosen for a couple different reasons, one because I am working on the sun model and took a screenshot of a short test sequence I did for it. Secondly, because I watched the movie Sunshine over the weekend, great film. Thirdly, those are some lyrics from an amazing song.
